Navajo Education Incentive
Navajo Education Incentive, formerly known as The Navajo School Clothing Program, Now Accepting Applications for SY 2020-2021!
Eligibility criteria and applications available at Email inquiries to or call (928) 810-8592 and request to speak with an NFAS employee. In response, the Department of Self Reliance is explaining that the NEI program is general funded, with a 1.5 million budget (this budget does not include any Cares Act funds). This amount will serve 6,000 children at $250 per child. The Navajo Department of Diné Education reported that the 2018-2019 Enrollment on the Navajo Nation was 33,883 children. Because the funding is limited, and will only serve 6,000 children, priority has been given to those children enrolled on the Navajo Nation, mostly due to the Nation’s high unemployment rates and limited opportunities for employment on the Navajo Nation.

Help Feed Your Children with Pandemic EBT

The New Mexico Human Services Department is preparing to mail P-EBT cards to assit families with additional food benefits throughtout the duration of the school closures due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Parents/guardian addresses must be verfied so teh state issued supplemental food benefit(P-EBT) card will be mailed to the correct address.  Address vertication must be completed no later than Monday, June 15, 2o20. before 5pm.
